Hoist Bicyclebridge Helchteren

The bicycle bridge is located over the Grote Baan in Helchteren. At 10 p.m. Saturday evening, the Grote Baan in Helchteren was closed to through traffic between Hasselt and Pelt. The main bridge over the Grote Baan was built with huge cranes and machines. The steel bicycle bridge is 45 meters long and weighs no less than 140 tons. The works were completed on Sunday morning and the Grote Baan reopened to traffic.
